Vendor Permit Information

Hello Everyone!  We have provided some helpful information to make it easier for our vendors to locate permits and further information provided by the Bexar County Environmental Services. The requirements will be applicable to each individual booth, keep in mind that in the county a booth is considered 10x10. Vendors please be mindful that Bexar County would like the application submitted at least 2-3 days before the event.

They currently only accept exact cash or check, all checks must be made payable to BEXAR COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES. Their office address is listed down below. They operate Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM  typically are away for lunch any time between 11am-12pm and return latest around 1 PM.

Not all booths would require a temporary event permit, for example fruit booths (watermelon, apples, peaches, etc.) would not need one unless they start sampling the fruit. Attached is a website link with the Cottage Law for vendors wanting to sell baked goods, candy, canned jams, etc.

FAQ - Texas Cottage Food Law

Food Trucks do require a health permit and an official fire marshal sticker located on the front serving window.

Another reminder – food trucks cannot be attached to any water source, doing so voids the validity of the Mobile Food Unit health/fire permit. They are however able to connect to an approved power source.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns regarding the above information to Kailey via email who is the Health Permit Technician for Bexar County Environmental Services Dept!
